For fans unhappy that they couldn�t watch the Bruins preseason opener in Montreal, a bit of good news came on Tuesday.

The Bruins have announced that Wednesday�s preseason matchup with the Washington Capitals will stream live on the team�s website.

The stream, limited only to the Boston area, will begin at 6:55 p.m. with puck drop at the TD Garden scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Dave Goucher and Bob Beers, who call Bruins games on 98.5 The Sports Hub, will provide play-by-play and color commentary.

The Bruins previously announced that two preseason games will air on NESN � Sept. 30 against the New York Islanders and Oct. 4 against the Detroit Red Wings. The Bruins open the 2014-15 season at home against the Philadelphia Flyers on Oct. 8.
