Murray Gray, 8, from East Craigs, suffers from the rare form of epilepsy called ‘Doose Syndrome’ and prior to receiving medicinal cannabis he would have hundreds of seizures a day.
An Edinburgh family has spoken of their devastation after receiving a response from Nicola Sturgeon to their plea for medicinal cannabis oils to be funded through the NHS for epileptic children.
The Scottish Government has said that they will not fund the medication for epileptic children as they do not deem that enough tests have been carried out to render the treatment safe.
