City’s first medical marijuana dispensary adds second St. Louis location in Dogtown – KSDK.com
ST. LOUIS — St. Louis city’s first medical marijuana dispensary is opening up a second location in Dogtown.
Root 66 Cannabis opens on Friday, March 26. Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

Root 66 opened the city’s first dispensary earlier this month at 3737 South Grand Blvd. The company said it plans to open a third area location in St. Peters on April 20.
According to the press release, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has licensed 349 facilities across the state to cultivate, manufacture, test and dispense medical marijuana safely to Missouri patients. Nearly 90,000 Missouri patients have been approved as medical marijuana cardholders.
Medical cannabis sales in Missouri include an additional 4% sales tax, which in total has already generated more than $22 million in tax revenue to the State of Missouri. These proceeds go towards veterans’ health and care services.
Earlier this year, a marijuana manufacturing company named Phytos opened up in St. Louis.
