PASADENA, Calif. — The 12th-ranked Oregon Ducks (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) are at the Rose Bowl Saturday to take on the No. 18 UCLA Bruins (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) after both teams lost their first conference games last week.

Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m.

Oregon is coming off a 31-24 loss against Arizona at Autzen Stadium, the second season in a row the Wildcats stunned the Ducks.

UCLA lost to to Utah 28-27 when the Bruins gave up a long drive late in the fourth quarter that ended in the Utes scoring the go-ahead touchdown and then couldn’t convert on two long field-goal attempts (the first attempt failed, but kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn got another chance after a penalty).

The Ducks have had a while to chew on the loss and work on the problems it revealed — they played on Thursday of Week 6 — and have talked since then about improving communication and playing with more urgency and tempo.

Expectations were high for both teams before the season began. Which team can salvage postseason hopes? What’s next for the losing team?
