As the Bruins preseason schedule rounds its halfway point Saturdays contest in Detroit is the fourth of seven games theyll play before they count for real the Bs will get back a part of their lineup key to their quest of making a deep postseason run.
Forward Milan Lucic has been cleared and is expected to play for the Bruins on Saturday, the team announced earlier in the day, after sitting out the first three preseason games while recovering from offseason wrist surgery.
“Everythings progressed really, really well over the last two weeks, and we decided that today would be a good time for me to come back, Lucic said on Saturday, via the Bruins official Twitter account.
Lucic scored 24 goals and added 35 assists in 80 games with the Bruins last season while playing the left side of the line that included center David Krejci and recently departed Jarome Iginla. Lucic tallied four goals and three assists in the playoffs as the Bruins were eliminated in the second round by the Montreal Canadiens.
In his seven-year NHL career with the Bruins, the 26-year-old has totaled 121 goals and 177 assists in 485 games.
