BOSTON — The Boston Bruins have given contract extensions to defenseman Torey Krug and forward Reilly Smith.
In an announcement Friday, the Bruins said Smith has agreed to a two-year deal worth $3.425 million per season, while Krug was given a one-year extension worth $3.4 million.
Both players were restricted free agents last summer and missed the start of training camp before agreeing on one-year bridge deals for this season. Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said last September that both would receive extensions in the near future.
In 58 games this season, Krug has 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points, including a plus-6 rating, while Smith has 12 goals and 23 assists for 35 points in 62 games. He’s one of four players on the Bruins to play in all 62 games this season.
