Bruins cut 11 players from roster – Boston Globe
There remain many holes on the Bruins lines, with not a single grouping guaranteed just nine days before the team’s season opener. But the group of options got smaller Sunday as the team cut 11 players.
The Bruins sent Chris Casto , Alex Fallstrom , Brian Ferlin , Seth Griffith , Jared Knight , Matt Lindblad , Joe Morrow , Tyler Randell (who is subject to waivers), Ben Sexton , and Zach Trotman to the Providence Bruins training camp, which opens Monday.

“Definitely heading in the right direction here. Little bit more time to work on his game. He’s going to be knocking on the door.”
The cuts leave the following players still fighting for a spot on the roster: Jordan Caron , Craig Cunningham , Justin Florek , Matt Fraser , Simon Gagne , Alex Khokhlachev , Ville Leino , David Pastrnak , Bobby Robins , and Ryan Spooner . There are four open forward spots, with Reilly Smith still unsigned.
