Bruins cut 11 players – Boston Herald
For the first time in this pre-season, the Bruins were able to have all their remaining players on the ice in one group today at the Garden, after they cut 11 players. The following players will join the Providence Bruins (AHl) training camp: D Chris Casto, W Alex Fallstrom, W Brian Ferlin, W Seth Griffith, W Jared Knight, C Matt Lindblad, D Joe Morrow, W Tyler Randell (if he clears waivers), W Ben Sexton, and D Zach Trotman. Veteran center Bracken Kearns has been released from his tryout agreement with the club.
Meanwhile, top pick David Pastrnak returned to the ice after missing some 10 days with a shoulder ailment. Coach Claude Julien said after practice the team hopes to see Pastrnak in one or more of the remaining three pre-season games. The B’s host the New York Islanders Tuesday night at the Garden. The Bruins at this point, until something changes, are proceeding with the expectation that free agents Reilly Smith and Torey Krug will not be part of the team.
