First Period, 1:31, 0-0: David Krejci fires a one-timer from the slot at Reto Berra on his first shift of the season, and the Avs goalie makes a pad save.

12:30 p.m.: Niklas Svedberg will start in net for Boston. This is his first game of the season. Reto Berra will start for Colorado.

12:05 p.m.: The Bruins aim to snap their first losing streak of the season Monday afternoon when they take on another struggling team in the Colorado Avalanche at TD Garden.

Boston has scored just three goals through three games, while the Avalanche have yet to find the back of the net after two losses to the Minnesota Wild by a combined score of 7-0.

The Bruins offense should receive a boost in the likely event that first-line center David Krejci returns to the lineup after missing the first three games with an undisclosed injury.
