This morning, Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli announced that the B’s have called up forward Seth Griffith from their AHL Providence Bruins franchise. They have also sent center Craig Cunningham down to Providence. The Boston Bruins currently 1-2-0 seem to be rotating players in and out to try to find some magic to reverse the Bruins current scoring woes. They’ve only put in three goals in three games, and were blanked by the Washington Capitals last night.

Griffith was was drafted by the Bruins in the fifth round (131st overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He reported to Boston for practice this morning at the TD Garden. Griffith was seen skating on the top line with David Krejci and Milan Lucic. This is good news for Bruins fans. While Griffith may not end up on the top line, a healthy David Krejci will certain invigorate the scoring for the Bruins and most certainly help Lucic play more like his old self.

During practice, Griffith was plugged into the Bruins special teams unit for the power play. At this point, the team has the time to experiment this early in the season to find the right combination to score goals. Griffith was on the PP with Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Torey Krug.
